The Northern Nevada areas of Carson City and Dayton have seen many changes over the last few years.  Extreme growth, along with the introduction of the first and second phase of the Carson City Freeway, have caused these cities to evolve rapidly.

Carson City, Nevada

The Carson City Freeway has already altered the traffic patterns for most travelers in and around Carson City.  Aleviating the heavy traffic from the down town area, and carrying it over to the Highway 50 corridor.  The most current traffic counts reflect 31,000 cars per day, traveling along Highway 50 near the on and off ramps.  This count is expected to increase with the construction complete and the third phase of the freeway under way.

The Downtown area of Carson City will be reliving it's past with the revitalization of the downtown corridor.  Carson City is currently working towards a design which will create a more pedestrian friendly shopping experience.  Less lanes of traffic, more on street parking, outdoor eating venues and other more exciting changes to bring people back to what this downtown area used to be.

The commercial landscape has been changing as we have recently welcomed large retailers such as Burlington Coat Factory, Home Depot as well as The Marriott Hotel.

Dayton, Nevada

The community of Dayton, Nevada has seen exponential residential growth over the last few years.  The Smith's Grocery Store is currently the only grocery anchored center in Dayton.  The Hone Company was instrumental in coordinating pad sales, construction and leasing of this shopping center.

The Smith's Shopping Center has become a high traffic site given the multiple subdivisions constructed over the last several years in this bedroom community.  Current traffic counts have brought the numbers of cars per day traveling this section of Highway 50 to double what it was just 10 years ago.  The 2007 Nevada Department of Transportation counts reflect 22,000 cars per day thru this corridor.
